Egg or Sperm Donation

Donation helps people who are unable to conceive because of infertility or a genetic condition. Donation in Australia is altruistic - donors are reimbursed for costs but are not paid a fee.

Services

Becoming a donor

Donating eggs, sperm or embryos gives another family the chance to have a child. Donors must meet eligibility criteria and complete medical, genetic and infectious disease screening, along with counselling covering the implications for themselves and their family.

Accessing a donor

Donor options are screened for health and genetic factors and meet Western Australian standards. Counselling and consent documentation form part of the process for recipients as well as donors.

Good to know
